Logline; 

Amidst a global pandemic that ravages animal populations, a woman embarks on a quest with her rescued Beagle to locate the remaining animals from a testing laboratory and transport them for cloning.

Synopsis;

I became interested in writing this show while traveling from Nashville to Los Angeles in September of 2022. I was thinking about the dog we have and the dog we tried to adopt. A beagle from the Virginia Puppy Mill. My partner had lost her dog about two years ago so it was easy to adopt our lives into this story. 

Hook;

We will do anything for the one we love.

ABOUT MY PROJECT.

I have a one hour drama in the vein of The Walking Dead meets Lost.

It’s called Man's Best Friend and it’s another pandemic related story. Write what you know, right? 

PLOT SUMMARY

The project follows Katie a millennial in a bad marriage. Married to an asshole Chuck, who is unhappy with every aspect of his life. He takes it out on his family. Lauren their only daughter has just left for college and leaves Katie an empty nester. Except for Prince, her fifteen year old beagle. 

Prince passes early in the pilot and leaves Katie in deep anguish. Chuck, trying to do the right thing stops by a animal shelter and adopts a beagle rescued from a vaccine testing facility. 

The next few days Katie discovers that her new pet, Ringo has been tested with a Covid vaccine that allows him immunity to the strain that is killing all other life on earth. Except vaccinated humans.

She also discovers that there were others in his testing group that have been distributed all over the country.

Now she must find the others in the test group and take them to a genetics lab in San Diego where they can be cloned, they were fixed at the shelters, and use their antibodies to bring back as many species of life as we can.  

WORLD

The show takes place in the Unites States. All animals are dead. Everyone she runs into either wants to take them for themselves or for Beagle Bar-B-Que.

Each episode would take place in a different city. 

ABOUT MY CAREER

I’m a writer, producer, and musician specializing in adventure with a faith undercurrent. My style could be best described as familiar and “I never saw it that way before”. I draw inspiration from life experiences and looking outside of the box. My main goal is to make a living as a producer, writer, actor, and part of Hollywood. I also have an interest in monetizing new media like I have done in music. I’m excited to work in Hollywood because of the storytelling sensibilities and taste. As a writer, I believe I offer a unique approach, perspective, and voice.
