Synopsis;
INSPIRATION
I became interested in writing this for a friend of mine. I had been writing scripts for friends hoping that they might help me find an audience for my screenplays. I used her kids as the two main characters in the project. There was a Manger in the small town I grew up in and most of the story is true, or how I would like it to be.
ABOUT MY PROJECT
I have a heartwarming family TV movie in the vein of 7th Heaven. It’s called Modern Manger and it’s about an angel has a mission, to save christmas for a young latch key boy and guide him on a path to connect to others.
PLOT SUMMARY
The project continues to follow a latch key teenager and an Angel charged with helping him understand his place in the world as they take care of a group of animals left all alone in a manger in the middle of a park. Problems occur when with no food or money Luke has to face where he really is in life. Now he must trust his new friend or face leaving others alone as he has been left.
WORLD
The show takes place in the world of a small anywhere USA town. Life is slow, jobs are few, money is tight, Here both Mom’s and Dad’s work, secrets are kept, and everyone has their own definition of love.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
My main characters are Luke, he’s a teenage latchkey boy who wants to find out who he is, what is the purpose of life. Nicole, and angel on a mission to help Luke discover who he is and what his purpose is in life. By the end of the show, They realize that who each other is and that miracle may happen. Other characters include Mother who’s a nurse on the night shift and sleeps most of the day. The Father that is unemployed and keeping it from everyone. The animal in the manger. Lost and forgotten. There to represent something so long forgotten.
TALKING POINTS
This project is unlike any in its genre because of simplicity of storyline. One mission. Audiences will love how he learns to trust and that the world has provisions. I see it as a Christmas lifetime show or a short film to be shown in faith schools.
ABOUT MY CAREER
I’m a writer, producer, and musician specializing in adventure with a faith undercurrent. My style could be best described as familiar and “I never saw it that way before”. I draw inspiration from life experiences and looking outside of the box. My main goal is to make a living as a producer, writer, actor, and part of Hollywood. I also have an interest in monetizing new media like I have done in music. I’m excited to work in Hollywood because of the storytelling sensibilities and taste. As a writer, I believe I offer a unique approach, perspective, and voice.
